Baron Wars XII
Just Another War Practice
May 9, 2009

Location:

Everette E. Carter Park
401 Campbell Hill Road
Bowling Green, OH 43402
(only 15 minutes south of Ft. Meigs on I-75)

Unfortunately, due to Ohio Historical Society's financial cuts our usual Baron Wars site, Ft. Meigs, will not be available this year. However, a bit of scrambling, our autocrats have found an alternative site for a daytrip Midrealm Kingdom War Practice.

Fortunately, we will be able to hold most of the usually scheduled Baron Wars activities at this year's venue, Carter Park. As a city park, the site is absolutely dry!

Since May 9 is graduation day for BGSU and two other colleges in the Toledo area, it will probably be difficult to be able to find a hotel room in the Toledo/Maumee/Perrysburg/Bowling Green areas. If you are looking for a hotel room, you may need to look toward Findlay for openings.

Directions:

Take your best route to I-75 and Bowling Green, Ohio...
From the South:
At exit 179, take State Route 6 east to South Dunbridge road (The first road after the exit). Turn Left (north) on S Dunbridge (You'll pass Snook's Dream Cars.) to either Gypsy Lane road (the first stop sign) or Napoleon road (the second stop sign) and turn left (west). Continue west to Campbell Hill road (first road after the overpass). Take Campbell Hill road north to the water tower at the entrance of Carter Park.

From the North:
At exit 181, turn west toward town (away from Meijer) and turn left at the first stop light (Burger King and a gas station). Follow Campbell Hill road south to the water tower at the entrance of Carter Park. (This way may be extremely busy coming in since this is the main way to get to BGSU for graduation.)
OR
At exit 181, turn east away from town (toward Meijer). Turn right at the first stop light (S. Dunbridge road). Take S. Dunbridge south to Napoleon road (first stop sign). Turn right (west) on Napoleon road to Campbell Hill road (just after the overpass). Turn right taking Campbell Hill road north to the water tower at the entrance of Carter Park.
