A&S Competition
Items will once again be judged on the bean count system for an overall winner of a custom glazed feast gear set, consisting of 2 bowls, 2 cups and 2 plates.

Loud Bardic Circle
Drumming and dancing at the back of the fort overlooking the river starting around dark (providing that the heavens have not opened).

Quiet Bardic and Bardic competition
Will once again take place in the wonderfully dry and warm Boars Head Tavern. Yes let the rest of them slog around in the mud, we can sit warm and dry and entertained in the tavern.

Class Descriptions

Women Warriors of the Middle Ages Taught by: Baroness Milesent Vibert of the Cleftlands
Description: A survey of the surprisingly large number of women who took up arms and fought in the middle ages.
No limit on attendees, no cost.

Beaded Embroidery Taught by: Daire (Dara) of the Three Moons
Description: Hands on Introduction to beaded embroidery. Includes a kit of materials and a handout.
Fee $4. Limit 10.

An overview of 16th Century Persain Garb Taught By: THL Satine de la Courcel
Fee $2, Limit 15. no audits.

Persian and Turkish woven buttons Taught by THL Satine.
A Hands-on class on making personalized woven buttons that are perfect for Persian and Turkish coats.
Fee $5 includes materials and handout. Limit 15, No Audits.

Basic Harp Taught by Lord Douglas MacFarlane
This class introduces those who are interested in learning how to play the harp and the history behind the harp. For those who already play music this class is of interest if you would like to learn if you would like to pickup the Celtic harp. I teach my students the basics in reading music which is very easy. I also tell you where you can get a harp like mine or others for less than $300.
Fee $1 for handout Limit 10.

Basic Leatherworking Taught by Lord Douglas MacFarlane
Learn to make pouches, frogs, sheaths and mug straps. I will instruct the class on the simplest and easiest method used back from Medieval to Rennaissance. Age 10+,
Fee $5 for materials. Audit OK.

Shaping Up Taught by Miriam Coynrane
The Evolution of Western European Fitted Garments. How they came about and how the modern seamstress should approach it.
Fee: $1 for handout.

Making a Simple Viking Apron Dress – Gone Wild. Taught by Birna of Orkney.

Maddog's Drum Rythms Taught by Madogg.
Familiarize yourself with the rhythms which will be played at the (Loud) Bardic Circle.

Basics of All-Grain brewing Taught By Godfrey Thacker.
They didn't have cans of anything in the Middle ages. How to start you beer with barley. Types of grain, processes involved, and equipment you'll need.
Limit 20, $1 handout fee.

Caligraphy 101Beginning Calligraphy, taught by Juliana Spencer.
Small fee for Basic tools to be provided.

Turkish Hats Taught by Zaynab
Make and take a Turkish Lady's hat called a Tarpus. The class will require basic hand sewing skills. limit 10, children welcome if they have some sewing experiance.
Fee: $5 for handout and materials for hat.

Women's Clothing in 16th Century Ireland Taught by Lady Aine Siobhan
An in depth look at some of the clothing worn by Middle Class women in 16th Century Ireland.
Class fee $2. Limit 10
